What is the next step after feasibility is established?

After feasibility is established, collaboration with Hula Global moves from evaluation to execution. This is an important moment when high-level strategy becomes concrete actions.

At this point, Hula Global assists brands in navigating a clear step-by-step process that is customized to their readiness, stage of business, and goals of production. The brand’s position in its product journey determines which of the two primary pathways is undertaken.

The first step is usually Product Development for brands that are in the design, refinement, or prep stage of their product. Many up-and-coming brands, as well as startups, or even veteran companies launching a new product line, often do not have their designs, materials, and/or technical specs fully in place.

In that situation, Hula Global steps in and provides full product development support to fill this gap. This stage is all about collaboration between the brand and Hula Global’s design and technical teams to finalize designs, technical packs, appropriate fabric selection, and prototypes or samples.

As brands develop their products, they are supported with pattern making, fit testing, sourcing of fabrics, and construction detailing. Hula Global brand partners make certain that every design can be transformed into a sellable product that meets both the industry and brand regulatory standards.

This partnership also allows the brands to address and resolve any potential problems with the production process prior to making their first bulk order. The primary focus of the partnership is to offer production-ready designs that address the 3 P's of manufacturing:

  1. Prevention of the production of defective products,

  2. Prevention of wastage

  3. Promotion of the overall efficiency of the production process.

Hula Global also offers customized and comprehensive product development blueprints and resources to support the brand partners at this particular company stage, including an FAQ document to assist in addressing concerns that are common with product development.

This is how Hula Global ascertains that their brand partners are adequately prepared and informed as they approach the start of a primary production run.

The second pathway applies to brands that are already fully prepared for manufacturing. If a brand has completed its design development, finalized its technical packs, selected fabrics, and determined production quantities, Hula Global can move directly into the next phase: PP Sampling (Pre-Production Sampling). Pre-production samples are a crucial step before bulk manufacturing because they serve as the final validation of the product.

Hula Global, in this case, makes a small batch of samples that closely resemble what final production will look like in terms of fabric, fit, stitching, finishing, and overall quality.

The brand checks these samples, and if they need to make adjustments, this is the point in the process to do so. After adjustments are made, the next step is to mass-produce the samples. After the PP sample is approved, Hula Global proceeds to full-scale production based on the timeline and specifications.

Nevertheless, Hula Global understands that not all brands may be certain of their mass production readiness. Many brands, especially first-time entrepreneurs and new designers, often find themselves wondering if they possess all the documents, designs, and tech specs needed to move forward.

For these brands, Hula Global suggests reviewing the guidelines on what a brand must submit in order to commence production. This includes tech packs, fabrics, size breakdowns, labels, packaging, and order quantities.

Other than these two main pathways, the post-feasibility stage focuses on collaboration and planning. Hula Global deploys specific production coordinators/account managers dedicated to the brand, and they work together throughout the entire scope.

These managers serve as the primary liaison to the manufacturing plants, so they remove barriers to communication. This ensures that updates happen in real-time and that issues are resolved quickly.

At this point in the collaboration, partners begin to see Hula Global’s full scope of accountability. Hula Global assumes all responsibilities from the brand’s end, and this includes all types of coordination with factories, quality control, logistics, and compliance. This is the entire production cycle.

As a result, the operational pressure increases on the brand so that it can concentrate on the marketing, sales, and overall growth of the business.

In addition, this stage often encompasses collaboration on operational timelines, modes of payment, and cash flow/inventory alignment. Hula Global is proactive in creating partnerships with well-defined operational timelines, production cycles, and delivery promises. For brands that meet the criteria, inventory financing provisions are used to address cash flow issues.

In essence, feasibility is just the starting point. What follows is a well-organized, transparent, and collaborative process that transforms ideas into tangible, high-quality apparel products, reinforcing Hula Global’s role not just as a supplier, but as a long-term manufacturing and growth partner for fashion brands worldwide.
