The Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for streetwear products at Hula Global depends on several factors. These include the type of product, the fabric used, and the target market segment your brand is aiming for (for example, mid-range or premium streetwear).
Because different garments require different fabrics and production setups, MOQs can vary from one product to another. Below is an example of the typical MOQs for a premium streetwear T-shirt to help illustrate how the system works.
Example: Premium Streetwear T-shirt
For premium streetwear brands, T-shirts are often produced using premium cotton or poly-cotton fabrics with a heavier weight.
Fabric specifications
Fabric type: Premium Cotton / Poly-cotton
Fabric weight: 160 GSM to 180 GSM
Unit price (for blanks)
Approximately $2.5 to $4 per piece
Fabric MOQ
In garment manufacturing, fabric is usually purchased in bulk before production begins. Because of this, there is typically a fabric-based MOQ.
For premium T-shirts:
2,000 pieces per colour per fabric type
This means that if you choose a specific fabric and colour, the minimum quantity required to produce that fabric batch would be 2,000 units.
Design (Print) MOQ | SKU Minimum
Streetwear brands often use graphics, prints, or embroidery to create unique designs. For printed designs, there is usually a separate MOQ requirement.
For T-shirts:
100 pieces per design (print) per size
This means that once the fabric MOQ is met, you can divide the garments into different designs, as long as each SKU has at least 100 units.
For example, within a 2,000-piece fabric order, you might produce several different designs if each one meets the design MOQ requirement.
Hoodies and Sweatshirts
The MOQs for hoodies and sweatshirts follow a similar structure but can vary depending on:
The fabric weight
The type of fabric
The design complexity
The production process required
Since these garments use heavier materials and more complex construction, the MOQ structure may differ slightly based on the product you plan to launch.
Other factors that influence MOQs
Several additional factors can affect the final MOQ for a streetwear product:
Fabric sourcing requirements
Custom dyeing or washes
Printing or embroidery techniques
Garment complexity
Number of colours or design variations
These factors are typically discussed during the product development stage to determine the most efficient production plan for your brand.
