Factories are rarely blacklisted by Hula Global. Blacklisting is not a routine outcome of the onboarding or evaluation process. It is used only in extreme cases.
It is important to understand that not every factory that applies will qualify to become a vendor. That alone does not result in blacklisting. The evaluation process exists to determine suitability, and due to the nature of that evaluation, some factories may not meet the required criteria.
However, not qualifying is different from being blacklisted.
Blacklisting happens only in exceptional circumstances. In such extreme cases, specific factories and their directors may be marked on Hula Global’s internal blacklist. This step is not taken lightly and is not a standard response to a failed onboarding or evaluation outcome.
Most factories that do not qualify are not blacklisted.
Hula Global recognizes that evaluation outcomes can vary. There are instances where a factory may not meet certain requirements at the time of review, but there is still scope for improvement. In such cases, the approach is not punitive. Instead, structured feedback is provided.
For units where improvement is possible, Hula Global shares clear and structured feedback outlining the areas that need attention. This allows the factory to understand what prevented qualification and what can be addressed moving forward.
These factories are not blacklisted.
In fact, they are given the opportunity to return after implementing the necessary improvements. The door remains open for re-evaluation once changes have been made. This reflects the understanding that operational readiness can evolve over time.
The distinction is simple:
Failing to qualify does not mean blacklisting.
Being asked to improve does not mean blacklisting.
Only extreme cases lead to blacklisting.
Hula Global’s evaluation process is designed to assess eligibility, not to penalize factories. The purpose of due diligence and review is to maintain the integrity of the vendor network. It is not intended to restrict future opportunities for factories that are willing to improve.
When there is genuine scope for improvement, the approach remains constructive. Structured feedback helps factories understand expectations clearly. After addressing those points, they are welcome to re-engage.
Blacklisting, on the other hand, is reserved strictly for situations that fall outside the normal range of evaluation outcomes. It is applied selectively and only when necessary. In such cases, specific factories and their directors may be marked internally.
It is worth emphasizing that this is rare.
The overall philosophy is not exclusion, but qualification. The onboarding and evaluation process filters for suitability. Where improvement is possible, feedback is provided. Where standards are not yet met, factories are encouraged to work on those areas before returning.
Factories that receive feedback and implement improvements are not restricted from future consideration. The evaluation process does not permanently close the door in such situations.
To summarise clearly:
Factories are rarely blacklisted by Hula Global.
Blacklisting happens only in extreme cases.
Not qualifying during evaluation does not result in blacklisting.
Structured feedback is provided where improvement is possible.
Units with scope for improvement can return after implementing changes.
Such units are not blacklisted.
This approach ensures that the evaluation process remains structured and fair, while reserving blacklisting only for exceptional circumstances.
