What is your policy for refunds?

policy for refunds

Updated this week

When it comes to refunds, we understand that clarity matters. Whether you're placing your first order or scaling your production, knowing which charges are refundable and which are not helps you plan better and avoid confusion later.

At Hula Global, refunds are categorized by program type. Some charges are refundable, while others are not, depending on the nature of the service. Below is a detailed breakdown for your reference so you can make informed decisions at every stage of your production journey.

Policy for refunds

We have refunds by type: some are refundable, while others are not. So, here is a list for your reference.

Refund policy for Masterclass

The Masterclass is a 90-minute on-demand video that provides immediate access to three complete frameworks — business models, MOQ negotiation, and merchandising planning. Once you've watched the content, the value has been delivered.

We cannot issue refunds after the content has been accessed, for the same reason you can't return a book after reading it or get a refund on a movie ticket after watching the film. The knowledge has been transferred.

Additionally, at $7, the Masterclass is priced as an accessible, low-risk entry point. It costs less than a coffee. If you're unsure whether the content is right for you, we encourage you to watch the free lesson on merchandising planning (available on Udemy) before committing to the full Masterclass.

If you have concerns about the Masterclass content quality, please reach out to our team. We're happy to address specific issues, but refunds are not available once content has been viewed. Please use the contact us form to contact us.

Refund policy for Bootcamp:

Bootcamp fees are non-refundable.

Here's why:

The Bootcamp is a comprehensive 12-month program that includes:

  • 54 pre-Bootcamp lessons and worksheets (available immediately upon enrollment)

  • 3-day live intensive training

  • 1 year of ongoing mentorship with monthly calls

  • Private community access

  • Surplus deal platform access

  • 1 free supplier audit

Once you enroll, you gain immediate access to the pre-Bootcamp lessons and community. This means the value delivery begins the moment you join — not when the live Bootcamp starts.

We cannot issue refunds after you've accessed the program materials, participated in live sessions, or engaged with the community, for the same reason educational institutions don't refund tuition mid-semester once classes have begun.

What happens if you can't attend the live Bootcamp sessions?

If you've completed payment but cannot attend the scheduled live Bootcamp dates, you have two options:

  1. Roll over to the next cohort at no additional charge

  2. Access recordings of the live sessions (if available for your cohort)

What if you're unsure about the Bootcamp?

We recommend starting with the $7 Masterclass first. It gives you a clear sense of the teaching style, frameworks, and depth of content. Many Bootcamp participants complete the Masterclass before enrolling in the Bootcamp to ensure it's the right fit.

Additionally, if you complete the Bootcamp and later join our Co-Pilot manufacturing program, we refund your entire $1499 Bootcamp fee as a credit toward your first production run. This means the Bootcamp can effectively become free if you execute with us.

If you have concerns about the program or your experience, please contact our team. We're committed to ensuring every participant gets value, but refunds are not available once program materials have been accessed.

Refund Policy for Co-Pilot

Co-Pilot fees are partially refundable based on work completed and production stage.

Here's how it works:

Understanding Co-Pilot Pricing

Co-Pilot charges are split into two parts:

1. Fixed Charges ($12,000 - $15,000) These cover:

  • Dedicated production manager allocation

  • Factory coordination and capacity planning

  • Sample development management

  • Quality control infrastructure

  • Timeline management and production planning

  • Tech pack review and pre-production support

Fixed charges are depreciated over a 3-month schedule based on the resources and time allocated to your project.

2. Product Cost (Variable) This covers:

  • Raw materials (fabric, trims, labels, packaging)

  • Manufacturing labor

  • Production execution

Product costs are paid in stages: typically 50% upfront for raw material procurement, 50% before final shipment.

Refund Structure by Stage

Stage 1: Before Production Starts (Months 1-3)

If you decide to exit Co-Pilot before production begins, your refund is calculated based on how much of the 3-month fixed fee period has elapsed:

Example 1: Exit after 1 month

  • Fixed fee paid: $15,000

  • Time utilized: 1 month out of 3 (33% of fixed fee period)

  • Refund: $10,000 (66% of fixed fee)

Example 2: Exit after 2 months

  • Fixed fee paid: $15,000

  • Time utilized: 2 months out of 3 (66% of fixed fee period)

  • Refund: $5,000 (33% of fixed fee)

Example 3: Exit after 3 months (end of pre-production period)

  • Fixed fee paid: $15,000

  • Time utilized: 3 months (100% of fixed fee period)

  • Refund: $0 (fixed fee fully utilized)

Product Cost Refund (if raw materials already purchased):

  • If you've paid 50% product cost for raw material procurement but exit before production starts, raw materials cannot be refunded in cash

  • Option 1: We ship the raw materials to your warehouse (you pay shipping costs)

  • Option 2: We hold the materials for future production if you decide to return to Co-Pilot within 6 months

Raw materials cannot be shipped to third-party warehouses or other manufacturers — only to your registered business address.

Stage 2: After Production Starts

Once production has begun (cutting, stitching, assembly, or any manufacturing process is underway):

No cancellations. No refunds.

Why? Because:

  • Factory capacity has been committed

  • Labor has been scheduled and allocated

  • Materials have been cut and processed (cannot be reused)

  • Your production run has displaced other potential orders

At this stage, you are committed to the full product cost and remaining fixed fees.

Special Circumstances

What if there are quality issues during production?

  • Co-Pilot includes multi-stage quality control (pre-production, during production, post-production)

  • If quality issues arise due to our manufacturing process, we work to resolve them through re-work, replacement, or corrective measures

  • Quality issues do not entitle you to cancellation or refund, but we take responsibility for resolution

What if I need to pause production?

  • Pausing is only possible before production starts

  • If you pause during Months 1-3 (pre-production), the 3-month fixed fee clock continues to run

  • Once production starts, pausing is not possible — the production run must be completed

What if timelines slip due to factory delays?

  • If delays are caused by factory issues (not by client-side changes or late approvals), we work to expedite or provide timeline adjustments

  • Timeline delays do not entitle you to refunds, but we take responsibility for managing factory performance

Before You Join Co-Pilot

Co-Pilot is a selection-based manufacturing partnership. Before you're accepted, we ensure:

  1. You understand the financial commitment:

    • Fixed charges: $12K-$15K (non-refundable after 3 months or once production starts)

    • Product cost: Varies by order size and complexity (typically $5K-$50K+)

    • Total commitment: $17K-$65K+ depending on your production run

  2. You're ready to execute:

    • You have approved tech packs or designs

    • You have capital allocated (not dependent on future fundraising or loans)

    • You're prepared to make decisions within the production timeline

  3. You've completed the onboarding process:

    • Application reviewed and accepted

    • Onboarding call completed (MOQ estimates, cost ranges, timeline expectations)

    • Fixed fee agreement signed

If you're uncertain whether you're ready, we recommend:

  • Complete the Bootcamp first ($1,299) — teaches MOQs, costing, merchandising planning, and production fundamentals

  • Review sample cost sheets from past Co-Pilot projects to understand financial scope

  • Have conversations with your financial backers or partners before applying

The Bootcamp → Co-Pilot Refund

If you've completed the Bootcamp ($1,299) and join Co-Pilot, we refund your entire Bootcamp fee as a credit toward your Co-Pilot fixed charges.

This means:

  • Bootcamp teaches you the frameworks

  • Co-Pilot executes them with you

  • If you do both, the Bootcamp becomes free

This reduces your financial risk when moving from education to execution.

Questions or Concerns?

Co-Pilot is a significant financial and operational commitment. We're transparent about costs, timelines, and expectations from day one.

Before work begins: If you have concerns about the program structure, pricing, or your readiness, contact our team. We'd rather ensure you're fully prepared than have you commit prematurely.

After work begins: Your dedicated production manager is your direct point of contact for any issues, timeline updates, or quality concerns.

We're committed to your success — but once production starts, we're both committed to completing the run.

Refund Policy for Private Label

Private Label fees are structured by service type. Refunds depend on which stage of production you're in and what work has been completed.

Here's the complete breakdown:

1. Courier Charges

Non-refundable.

Courier charges cover the cost of shipping samples, fabric swatches, or documents to your location. Once courier services have been used, these fees cannot be refunded.

2. Sample Charges & Revisions

Sample development fees depend on who is responsible for the revision:

Manufacturer Error:

If samples are incorrect due to our manufacturing mistake (wrong measurements, incorrect fabric, stitching errors that don't match your tech pack):

  • Samples will be redone at no additional cost to you

  • We absorb the cost of correcting our errors

Brand Error:

If samples need revision due to client-side changes (design modifications, measurement changes, fabric substitutions, styling adjustments):

  • Revisions are based on the number of agreed iterations outlined in your Product Development / Sampling Agreement

  • Example: If your agreement includes 3 sampling iterations and you're requesting a 4th round of changes, additional sampling fees apply

  • Each agreement specifies the number of included revisions upfront

Sampling fees are non-refundable once samples have been produced — whether you approve them or request changes.

3. Product Development Charges

Product Development charges cover:

  • Design consultation

  • Tech pack refinement

  • Pattern making

  • Sample development coordination

  • Pre-production planning

Product Development charges cannot be refunded separately.

However, Product Development charges are adjusted against your Purchase Order (PO) when you move to production.

Example:

  • Product Development fee: $2,000

  • You approve samples and issue a Purchase Order for production

  • Your $2,000 Product Development fee is credited toward your PO total

If you do not proceed to production after product development, the Product Development fee is non-refundable.

4. Purchase Order (PO) Cost & Fabric Procurement

If fabric has been purchased:

Once we've procured fabric for your order based on your approved Purchase Order:

  • Fabric costs and any advance payments are non-refundable in cash

  • Option: Hula can ship the procured fabric directly to your warehouse (you pay shipping costs)

Fabric can only be shipped to:

  • Your registered business address

  • Your warehouse or fulfillment center

Fabric cannot be shipped to:

  • Third-party manufacturers

  • Unauthorized addresses

If production has not started:

If you've paid an advance (e.g., 30% or 50% deposit) but fabric has not yet been purchased:

  • Contact us immediately to discuss cancellation

  • Refund eligibility depends on what procurement or coordination has already occurred

  • Any work completed (factory coordination, material sourcing, pre-production planning) may result in partial retention of the advance

If production has started:

Once production begins (cutting, stitching, assembly, or any manufacturing process is underway):

No cancellations. No refunds.

Why? Because:

  • Factory capacity has been committed to your order

  • Labor has been scheduled and allocated

  • Materials have been cut and processed (cannot be reused for other orders)

  • Your production run has displaced other potential clients

At this stage, you are committed to the full Purchase Order value.

Special Circumstances

What if there are quality issues during production?

Private Label includes multi-stage quality control (pre-production checks, during-production inspections, post-production final inspections).

If quality issues arise due to our manufacturing process:

  • We take responsibility for resolution through re-work, replacement, or corrective measures

  • Quality issues do not entitle you to cancellation or full refund, but we ensure the product meets the specifications outlined in your Purchase Order

What if I need to modify my order mid-production?

Modifications during production are possible only if:

  • Changes are requested before cutting begins

  • Factory capacity allows for adjustments

  • Additional costs (if any) are agreed upon in writing

Once fabric has been cut or production has started, modifications are not possible.

What if timelines slip due to factory delays?

If delays are caused by factory issues (not by client-side approvals, changes, or payment delays):

  • We work to expedite production or provide adjusted timelines

  • Timeline delays do not entitle you to refunds, but we manage factory performance and keep you informed

If delays are caused by client-side issues (late approvals, payment delays, design changes):

  • The original timeline is adjusted accordingly

  • Additional costs may apply if factory capacity needs to be re-secured

Before You Commit to Private Label

Private Label is designed for established brands with structured, reliable production needs. Before issuing a Purchase Order, ensure:

  1. You've completed sampling:

    • Samples are approved

    • Measurements, fabrics, and construction are finalized

    • No further design changes are expected

  2. You understand the financial commitment:

    • Container-load minimums (typically 500-2,000 pieces per SKU)

    • Full Purchase Order value (typically $10K-$100K+ depending on order size)

    • Payment terms (e.g., 30% advance, 70% before shipment)

  3. You have capital allocated:

    • Not dependent on future fundraising, pre-orders, or loans

    • Ready to commit to full production timeline (typically 60-90 days)

If you're uncertain whether you're ready for Private Label:

  • Start with Co-Pilot — lower MOQs, guided support for your first production run

  • Complete the Bootcamp — teaches production fundamentals, MOQs, and merchandising planning

  • Request sample cost estimates before committing to full production
